At 7,880 feet in the Elk Mountains, our vineyard catches the alpine light just right — producing wines with a character you won't find anywhere else on the map.
Aspen Valley Winery was born from a simple conviction: that the Elk Mountains around Carbondale offer something extraordinary for viticulture — not despite the altitude, but because of it. The thin air, intense sunlight, and dramatic temperature swings between day and night produce grapes with concentrated flavors and balanced acidity that lower-elevation vineyards simply cannot replicate.
Our 3.2-acre vineyard sits on a south-facing slope where Colorado's alpine climate shapes every bottle we produce. We farm sustainably, hand-prune each vine, and ferment in small batches so every varietal expresses the terroir it grew in — from our crisp Riesling to our structured Cabernet Franc.
Discover Our VarietalsEach varietal is crafted from grapes grown at altitude, where the climate writes its own story in every vintage.
